FACILITIES
St Mary’s College is a primary and secondary school with modern facilities
in a bush setting. These include a well-equipped Library, Science
Laboratories, Music Rooms, Computer Laboratories and specialist rooms
for the areas
of Design and Technology, Home Economics and Art. The College also
has a well-maintained cricket and football oval as well as hard courts
marked for basketball and netball.
ADMINISTRATION OF COLLEGE
The role of the College Board is to help the College fulfil its educational
responsibilities in accordance with the Board Constitution. The
Board is accountable to the Catholic Education Commission of Western
Australia.
All matters related to the curriculum, discipline and the administration
of the College are the responsibility of the Principal who is appointed
by the Bishop of the Diocese and responsible to the Director of
Catholic Education of Western Australia.
OFFICE HOURS
The reception area at the College office is open from 7.30am to
4.00pm every Monday to Friday through-out the year excepting
mid December
and mid January. Parents are asked, other than in the case
of emergencies, to restrict enquiries to these times as the office
is
not otherwise
staffed.
UNIFORM SHOP
The Uniform Shop is open from 7.30am to 2.00pm Monday to Friday.
Students can visit the uniform shop for purchases and/or
orders before school
and at recess on these days.
CANTEEN
The Canteen is open at recess and lunchtime daily. Lunch
orders should be placed at recess. The College Canteen
provides a
good range of
nutritious food and drinks for students. The Canteen
is accredited with a three
star rating from STAR Canteen Accreditation Programme
(STARCAP).
NEWSLETTER
A Campus newsletter is distributed every second Thursday
to all students on the Secondary Campus and weekly
to Primary students.
It contains
essential information for both parents and students.
