'Gantheaume Point' sauropod dinosaur tracks These tracks are found on a 0 metre tide on flat sedimentary rock 500 metres the town side of Gantheaume at the waters edge.
All the sauropod tracks Deeply embedded Great print Double prints - large on the left and smaller on the right. All grooved lines align to Gantheaume Point - possibly indicating that the fresh water river stream flowed towards Gantheaume Point Deeply grooved ripple rock indicating a fast flow of water - probably a fresh river

- Early Cretaceous age - predates Winton Queensland tracks
- Sauropods were the largest animals to ever inhabit the land - (21 metres long - 15 TO 20 tonnes in weight)
- Discovered by Paul Foulkes in 1987 - authenticated by the WA Museum 1990
- These tracks were made in a lagoon setting
- Some tracks are up to 1.5 metres long
- Squashed sedimentary rocks can be seen under the tracks from the huge weight.
- Two different types of Sauropod tracks are recognized.
- The front feet are smaller than the rear feet
- These are plant eating dinosaurs
