Grewia Breviflora (coffee fruit) - 'Goolm'

3 to 5 metres tall - even up to 9 metres - distinctive ribbing no the leaves - grows in vine thickets behind the sand dunes - looses its leaves in the dry season or they go yellow - burst into new life in the wet season.  There are male and female trees.  Bright yellow flowers appear after the new leaves.  A green fruit eventually turns purple black when ripe.  Good to eat - tastes like coffee or chocolate.  A very nice shade tree
