Reptiles But Are Good To Eat

The Baninyburu (Aspidites melanocephalus - blackheaded python) is laying its eggs now.

Poisonous snakes are everywhere feeding on insects and frogs. Among these are the Mayangarra (Acanthophis pyrrus- death adder)

 and Wirril (pseudechis australis- king brown)

  hence people avoid going into the thick grass growth.

All the lizards are out and feeding on the insects and frogs. The Jalangardi (Varanus goulgii-sand goanna) and the Garralgarral (Varanus acanthrus- rough tail goanna) are now having their young. The people tend to kill any lizards until later because they are still too skinny
