Slide 30:

Snakes are out and feeding on the insects and frogs too.

Slide 31:

Many snakes are poisonous, like the Wirril (Pseudechis)

australis – king brown snake). People take extra when

walking in the thick grass growth.

Slide 32:

In the sea, the Gurlibil (Chelonia mydas – green turtles)

have moved away from the coast. But their eggs may still

be found along the beach. These will soon hatch and the

baby turtles will crawl into the sea.

Slide 33:

The Birndany (stingray from the Dasaytididae family) is still

fat through Mankala.

Slide 34:

Sharks like the Jurrawayi (Loxodon macrorhinus – sliteye

shark) are still fat too.

Slide 35:

But the sea is dirty from the rain washing red sand into it

and so the Birndany and Jurrawayi are hard to see.

However, on calmer days the men may go and spear them.
