Pindan Walnut

(Terminalia cunninghamii)

I found it!  At last.  This tree is much sought after because of its delicious almonds.  A most valued tree.  Comes to life in November with bright green leaves and flowers are small and white.  In cultivation at CALM nursery.  Large tree 6 metres high.  This tree is scattered around Broome and Beagle Bay.  Fruits turn blackish blue when ripe.  I've got a secret spot for this tree just out of town - can't wait until when it fruits.

Green leaves and flower mid November.

In October - no leaves at all

By mid November this tree comes alive with new leaves
