Middle School

Years 7 to 9

The Middle School model at St Mary's College has been operational since 2009, providing students in Years 7 to 9 with a unique learning environment with academic, co-curricular and pastoral care programs that support the developmental needs to young adolescents.

Year 7, as the transitional year into secondary school will provide students with a varied program of study. Year 7 students will undertake core curriculum studies as well as a choice of Specialist Curriculum courses enabling them to experience a variety of subject options which will inform their subject selections in Years 8 and 9.

As students progress through to Years 8 and 9, they will have the opportunity to choose semester and year-long courses in areas of study according to their interests, needs and abilities.
