Religious Education
All students at St Mary’s College participate in Religious Education lessons from Kindergarten through to Year 12. These lessons provide students with knowledge of the teachings of the Gospel and assist them to develop a sense of how Christians strive to live their lives. St Mary’s College aims to form men and women who live their lives according to the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Religious Education aims to assist students at all levels of religious awareness. The College acknowledges that parents are the primary faith givers and the Religious Education programme aims to build and enrich the students in their faith journey.
Religious Education at St Mary’s College has the same educational demands as other learning areas and is integrated into other subjects across the Curriculum. The College follows the Perth Archdiocesan Religious Education Course.
Students have access to a Sacramental Programme which prepares them for the Sacraments of Penance, Eucharist and Confirmation.
These Sacraments are offered in Years 4, 5 and 7.
